Jeanette Navarro Reed Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for Jeanette Navarro Reed, 82 who died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her children and loving caregiver, Josie Brown in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Reed Odom and husband Bob Odom of New Iberia, Edna Reed Alston and husband Ricky Alston of Rayne, four sons, David Reed and wife Mary of Rayne, Scott Reed and wife Janet of Rayne, Brian Reed and wife Kathy of Rayne, Todd Reed of Rayne, eight grandchildren, Thomas Couvillon and wife Dalisa, Amy Couvillon Macip and husband Paul, Justin Dugas and wife Erin, Scott Reed, Madeleine Reed, Natalie Reed, Joshua Reed and his financee' Maggie Fisher, Lindsey Reed, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Audrey Boudreaux of Baldwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Reed, parents, Edward Navarro and Antonio Robicheaux Navarro, in-laws, Howard and Edna Reed, two brother-in-laws, Jesse Reed and Earl Boudreaux. She was born Sunday, August 4, 1929 in Rayne, LA, daughter of the late Edward Navarro and the late Antonio Robicheaux Navarro. Our loving mother was a beautiful, talented, witty woman who touched many lives with her gifts. Above all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly missed her husband of 50 years. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Chris and Wes Franciol of Complete Home Health and our mothers caregivers Josie Brown, Regina Harmon, Shanna Duhon, Carol Scott and Jennifer Hall, RN, who shared their love with our mother. We also appreciate the care given by Heart of Hospice who helped momma stay comfortable in her last days. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America Court 844. A rosary will be recited Friday, February 17, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home. Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
